The collaboration between the film industry and the video game industry is a classic. Films based on blockbuster games, such as Monster Hunter or Sonic The Hedgehog, hit our screens every year, but there are also examples of us taking over the biggest blockbusters. Drakhar Studios, a studio specialized in adapting film franchises founded in Spain in 2011, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania has announced, in collaboration with Sony Pictures Consumer Products and Outright Games (publisher of games for other licenses such as Ben 10, La Patrulla Canina or Jumanji), the arrival of Hotel Transylvania: Scary-Tale Adventures, a title that will be available on Halloween in digital format.
Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania film franchise has already generated $ 1.3 billion at the box office. These films introduce us to Dracula, Mavis and all their monstrous friends, who have great adventures at Hotel Transylvania, a luxurious five-stake resort where monsters can live in peace with their families, free from having to act like monsters by not have humans bother them. The first film hit theaters in 2012 and featured two new installments in 2015 and 2018, Hotel Transylvania 2 and Hotel Transylvania 3: A Monster Vacation. The latest chapter in the franchise, Hotel Transylvania: Transformania, is scheduled to premiere in summer 2021.
Its adaptation proposes a 3D platform adventure that will immerse players in a fairy tale in which they will put themselves in the shoes of their favorite characters to relive classic stories such as Little Red Riding Hood or The Emperor’s New Suit. What other classic stories would you like to see adapted in this title? Let us know in the comments!
